VECTOR
A vector is an agent that carries and transmits the pathogen to an organism or host (Donovan, 2013).


INFECTIOUS DISEASE 
Infectious diseases are communicable or transmissible diseases that can spread from person to person. Infectious diseases can be asymptomatic, meaning that someone can be a carrier of the disease without knowing they are infected (Donovan, 2013).

DISEASE BURDEN


Disease burden is described as the impact of disease problems by financial cost, mortality, morbidity or other factors ( Donovan, 2013). he burden or impact of a disease measured through the use of DALYS: Years of life lost since due to sickness, early mortality, or disability. (World Health Organization, 2013)
